How easy [difficult!] is it to cut out and replace the roof rain gutters?

There's a fair bit of rot in mine and I think once I get grinding to remove the filler and rust there won't be much left in places. It strikes me to neatly weld in new gutter sections and gring down the welds it's quite a tight space to get into, any tips?

It's a pain in the arse but do-able.
Did fairly extensive gutter repairs to a 15 window kombi luxo after the gutters had been slightly more than tickled with a wire wheel on a grinder!

Ended up cutting and welding along the radius of the curve before the gutters lip under the roof section.
Does require some careful grinding on the insides of the gutters. A thin skim on seam sealer helps to neaten up the insides of the gutters, the outside can be skimmed with filler if needed as normal.

Is really handy to have a small air grinder or air file for grinding down the outsides of the gutters, but if not you should be able to do it (with care and a steady hand!) with a flap disc on a normal grinder.

Just found this, shows one of the sections cut out and the repair patch grafted in.
