I've got my dials out at the moment and the thought occured to me that I could fit a rev counter into the spare hole. It'd be daft not to do it now whilst i've go the opportunity.

I'm sure I've seen mention of doing it on here before, but the search isn't bringing up anything useful.

Has anyone done it, or do you know what fits/looks good ? ?

Thanks in advance!

ye its a really easy job,you will need a hole saw or a dremel type thing to cut a neat hole

not a rev counter but

1st ones 30

2nd one 50

3rd 0ne 60

88mph is 70

and just after the M on mph is 82

then i **** myself and slowed down

stoped at 60 as looking where i was going, looking at the satnav and drawing a line while bombing down the motorway with a crappy steering box was a bit dodgey

thats just about exactly what mine is out by ...

what causing yours to be out... is it a wheel and tyre combo ..

Thats what i can't figure with mine .. its stock wheels and tyres .. so why out so far?

Hilly

tyres and wheels +old tecnolagey, even my t4 is out about 8mph at the top end

You do realise that satnav for speed purposes is not accurate, as the box on your dash makes quite a lot of predictions due to the refresh rates and quantity of information it receives...

Main reasons for difference is drive dog wear at the wheel, cable wear, gearing in the speedo, tyre wear, selection and pressure etc....

my garmin handheld came up with the same speed so cant be that far out,its beter than nothing

Thanks for that, I'd didn't expect there to be an off the shelf solution.

Just got to find the right rev counter now

:D

Here is mine from heritage.Really easy to fit without drilling or cutting anything and can be put back to stock, just as easy.
