Newbie - Rev Counter Query

Just a quick question will any generic 4 cylinder 12v 0-7000 rpm (or similar) rev counter do the job on my bay? I have seen the retro fit into the clock position types and they are out of my price range as are the JK versions but I see a few others from classic cars and VDO coming up on ebay / similar and just wondered as long as they meet my operating parameters will these be suitable?

Yes in short. As long as it is suitable for a four cylinder, Mia I have seen are switchable but check first.
