Just been out in the bay, while coming up to Foxhall roundabout i let off the throttle at about 60mph and the engine stayed at those revs, must have been 3500-4000 rpm! Got it back home when i looked the cable is working ok, and the linkage is'nt catching. The throttle closes back to idle yet the motor keeps revving??? I'm running twin Weber 40IDF carbs would they be sticking inside or something??? Has been running fine until now. Any ideas dudes?

Scared **** out of me lol , just kept going

I'm pretty sure the linkage is good tbh. Was thinking it might be the throttle sticking open inside or a sticky accelerator pump? I'll fix it, have done about a million times. lol
