i`ve got the cupboard in original campmobile veneer if you need it...its covered in glue and need hours and hours of cleaning but if your missing yours and you`re prepared to do the time you can have it.

Cheers Scott, theres some really usefull pics there.
My rear bench seat is on the sliding door opposite to your pics, i have no pics of mine at the mo as i literally drove it home sunday and buried it in the workshop. The m code destination says Germany not SA ?, are they rarer in crossover form ? :? i may be down your way in half term so if you still have the unit then i may take you up on the kind offer :) cheers Matt.

No is the simple answer, VW made more bays in 1972 than any other year, 280,000 from memory

I know that 72 was a mass production year but what im getting at is if they made many Westfalia crossovers in rhd, :?: :? :D

Yes, I think there would have been a lot, in relative terms. It was the first year, afaik, of factory rhd Westfalia production for the UK market.
The market now is skewed by all the imports, I guess that most UK imported crossover Westys have rotted away or been changed about so there will be few good examples about. I guess Westfalias were also pretty expensive compared to Devons etc ... actual production figures? No idea, but I guess they are out there somewhere.

*waits for Harlequin*

Can't help with rhd '72 westies...but as Clem states they were expensive & you could go to your VW dealer & order your Devon Moonraker with superior "swing out cooker" & a bed layout that had more positions than the kama sutra

lowlight rhd westys are a rare breed indeed.Only manufactured for the african market" to my knowledge".Someone show me a walkthrough rhd lowlight westy and i`ll eat my keyboard which just happens to be made of cake just in case theres one lurking out there

i happen to own a rhd walkthrough westy Scott :D

didnt start out that way though. it took a world of pain and graft to get it that way.
