RHD Westy rear bed

Hi all
I have a South African imported rhd westy (s067/r) and I have some issues with the rear bed mechanism. Whilst looking at it I noticed as per my pictures the rock and roll bed seems quite different to others I’ve seen.

I’ve not seen the box section nor the little toggle clips - anyone know what the toggle clips were for?

I’ve removed the wardrobe and will be turning this 3/4 bed into a full width (but saving the old parts). It looks like the seat brackets can just be moved outwards.

All the screws have pulled out of our wooded boards so I’m going to use t nuts.

Looks like an early Westy bed, toggle could be for holding a cab bunk

yes its an early westy bed, i have the same in my 68

The clips hold the seat base down when the seat is in place

Thanks both. I did wonder if the clips did that. Do you have any pics of what it should look like? Ours has been messed with lots
