Rubbers

Does anyone know of a product that seals window rubbers?

Mine are on the old side and when they get wet they leak black stuff all over the paint!

Just wondered if there's anything you can buy to seal the rubbers so they dont leak crap on the paint work!

That's the carbon coming out of the rubber.
Unfortunately I don't know of anything to stop this other than replacing all the rubbers.
Maybe someone on here has a solution.

your at that stage fella wheres theres no stopping the rot....

though I suspect something like son of a gun may prolong the agony, the problems likely to still appear from the mating surface with the body work so unless your gonna pop the windows out to try and seal them you may as well bite the bullet and stump up for some nice shiney ones...

got some stuff that you can put on plastic and rubber trim that basically puts a coating on it , not tried it on vw seals yet , but done bumpers and various trim on cars , it make the treated area look like its been siliconed / dressed look .
frost have some similar stuff from por in their catologue
