SAE 80/90 gearbox oil

Was planning on doing a gearbox oil change before i put the engine back in, got loads of sae 80w/90 in the garage. This ok for bay?

Yes just filled mine up with the same after gear box refurb. 3.5l if gearbox totally empty but prob. only get 3l in if doing an oil change. Cheers

just make sure its a hypoid oil, reacts better under the increased compression and reduces noise......

Had a look today, its acatually EP80W-90 GL-4 that ive got in the garage. This ok to use? Whats the difference between an SAE and EP oil? :?
