seat belt bolts - thread size?

Hi
hopefully a quicky the seatbelt mounting bolts in the rear of a bay - what size are they it looks like m12x1.5 but I ran a die down an old one and it didn't seem quite right...close but not exact?

the original in the rear arch captive nut for the lower belt mounting point.........will this also be the above size ie same as the under window bolt size.........??

I think its UNF 16 pattern

strange ...I thought it was all metric

I'll nip out tomorrow and grab a die and tap......anybody which size I need?

or is unf 16 the one????

Regarding the rear arch mount - unless you lucky/have a rust free import this will be rusted out and need replacing. VW cunningly design the original as the perfect salt, crud and moisture trap. I ended up with a perfect rectangular hole wher the mount used to be when I attempted the same..

If this looks familiar be prepard to break-outthe welder..
