Seat Belts, Anyone know what these are from..

Does anyone know what these are from, probably a stupid question, but just found them in my garage.

The belts are from a 1970 VW 8)
I don't know what they are from, but it looks like the catch part is a none VW item. The look to be a different brand.
And I like them a lot in that bare metal basic oldschool look.

They look like stock bus front seat belts, these are the ones that came out of my bus, not the missing plastic casing on one of mine and both on yours
