Hi!

OK, baby due Feb, need to sort out seatbelts in the Westy...........

I am looking here:

http://www.vwheritage.com/vwh/Bus-Parts-1968-79%5CInterior%5CSeat-Belts%5C?templateID=vwh" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Also:

http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/wolfsburg_new/accessories/accessories/seat_belt.cfm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But confused as to what i need. What i would like is this, old retro chrome buckle with inertia reel, creme in colour. I have a walkthrough, so do i need a stalk on the front seats, and what about the rear? I am happy with one 3 point in the rear, as the wardrobe is on the other side, and maybe a lap belt in the center, so 1 3 point and 1 lap on the rock and roll bed.

Fixings? Dunno if the RNR bed has mounting points as it's a westy not a microbus? :?

And as i want inertia to fit the baby seat, do i need a certain size?

And finally a lap belt for the buddy seat. ;)

I have stock fixed belts up front, and i have bought ages ago some fixed lap belts, but want new belts all round.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers!

Alistair

Have a read of this thread http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6944&p=150979#p150979" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; it deals with the rear belts in a westy.
There are also child seats that are designed to work with either 3 point belts or just lap belts. Brittax do some - the renaissance model for definate works with lap belts.

Stalks up front are more user friendly and you wont have a buckle flapping about when not in use. Also if the chome buckles are desinged to fasten in a central position and not to one side, they'll be a right pain to use with baby seats.

If you go with a 3 point inertia in the rear, a bracket like one of those in the link is a good idea to clear the back of the seat. The 3 pointers commonly sold via the VW suppliers (securon 500/30 and 500/45) have stalks (30 and 45 are the stalk lengths in cm) which can be used but are a tad too long, so getting hold of a webbing buckle is preferable.

Not anymore, Britax have discontinued that model and there are currently no child seats available on the market in the UK that will work with anything other a 3 point inertia reel belt, trust me I have checked.

this site says they have 107 in stock ...

Hi!

Thanks for the advice! I think i may well have to give the chrome buckle ones a miss - think a inertia 3 point one has be a good a upgrade, but think i want creme ones, so maybe the heritage ones? JK just do black ones and the securon ones are expensive?

Cheers!
