just had a thought ,sell my house on ebay and save a fortune

well im in the prosess of geting the house valued and geting prices for the cost, its looking at costing £2000 to sell pluss £300 for a crappy energy servey.

so i thought i sell everything else on ebay why not my house?????

so i had a look  and people are selling them on there, thats got me thinking.....do they actually sell?

does anybody know anybody that has tried this ???im thinking it would be more hassel than its worth or/and a total waste of time and money

I'll bet those Final Value Fees would be pricey!!

Also, you'd have to pay for a decent Reserve - or you could end up selling your property for £2.50!

There's probably better/cheaper ways to sell!

;)

they go on as classified not auction.but i agree not the best line of action

Dont think it would be legally binding, you would still need solictors for searches - deeds etc etc.
I remember a few years back some one put Elland Road (Leeds Utd FC) football ground up for sale on Ebay, made the news but think it was pulled for some legal reasons (the bloke didn't actually own Elland road ) :)

If i were you I'd screw down the estate agents on a lower percentage.
Going back a couple of years I got mine down from 2% to 1% by getting several quotes.

With interest rates going up and down and other factors I'm certain they would be more willing to negotiate.

You also need to remember that they sort all the times wasters out.
Just make sure they work for the money such as decent advertising, literature etc...........

My friend tried to sell his and all the agents did was put up a board & the details in the window. He played ape and then the next minute it's in the paper with better pics.
