Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,Check out the sticker on the new urinal! :) :ROFLMAO: :)
Version numero uno is out and the new and all improved version is now to be employed. Not sure if PIPPA would approve but it will save me a lot of walking.
IMG_4768.jpegMuch much tidier indeed.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,we all needs a little dab every so often:)

This one is looking like a winner so far. Spare wheel with 185-60-14 tyre from when I was lowered. It fits surprisingly well into a couple of IKEA bags and can live in the boot most of its life but can live there nice and handy when I’m on a road trip until I land , then it can drop straight out and become my step for getting in and out of the van. Then the Stella boxes can be my recycle centre just inside the door.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, Reckon I’ll live with this for a bit :)

Can you box it in like the Westy units in mine?

I guess I could, I didn’t know that’s what them Westy peeps did. It’ll live in the back and just live there ^^^ by the units when I’m off camping, then it’ll be quickly whisked out for my step when I rock up.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,show us yours then bud :)

The unit to the right is designed to take a spare wheel. I however prefer to put the grey water collection tank there along with spares and tools.

Ahhhh I see. I’ve never had a Westy but I did have a Westy interior in a van once up on a time. But it was a RHD Malaga and nothing like that. Funny how I’d never noticed how different the versions were.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,Every day is a school day . :) :)

This interior thing is starting to rumble on now with no serious progress. The issues I’m over coming one at a time and the big issue right now is this blinking fridge. I seriously doubt myself sometimes and think to meself, why oh why did I want to change my interior layout when it worked so well for me, especially in the cold Stella supplies departments. The big issue and holdup right now is fixing and fitting the fridge. If I keep the fridge flush with its counterpart units, it’ll open just fine but will only open to a right angle and then if I go past that just slightly, it’ll touch the right hand unit. This will be absolutely fine for the first half a dozen Stellas or so, after this, the door may get flung open and it might start to rub and create a wear mark. I’m also having issues with fixing the fridge down as it’s only thin alloy with insulation behind and the door hinges and other fixings are just large self tappers no 12s? possibly? which are great for doing what they’re doing but might struggle with any extra shear. So I’ve hummed and hahhhed for a week or so and I’ve come up with possibly a brilliant solution or maybe a train wreck. So I’ve ordered some soft close drawer sliders that are underneath fixings. So in a nutshell, the same as regular drawer closer runners but fitted like angle irons to the sides of my units and fixing to the underneath of the fridge by taking the bolt on legs off. Theoretically it’ll still leave me an inch or so under for air circulation, the fridge should be bolted to the runners which will be bolted to the units, the soft close option will keep the fridge a couple of inches in past flush with the units, the soft close will stop the fridge moving about when driving ,and by pushing the fridge inwards against the soft close mechanism, it should pop out a few inches for when I’m actually using it and camping, then once I’m ready to drive off, I just push the fridge back in. Anyway, I’ve ordered various heavy duty runners as the fridge may be fine, but when fully loaded ???

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,guessing I’m over thinking this again, where’s the nails :)

Right then, I’m going up in the loft in a minute to do some bits and bobs. Reckon I can get some decorations out at the same time to decorate my van and make him all Christmasy. Then I’ll be able to add to it through the week all ready then for the Christmas after Christmas Cruise next weekend . As it’s for Teenage Cancer, I really don’t want to miss it.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,, looking forward to it. :)

Don't know if they do one big enough for a van but this is they way forward, not sure what Mr Plod thinks though 🤔
I’ve been trying to find some 12V or 5V net lights in order to do that but they seem to be thin on the ground this year which is a shame. Struggling to find a decent supply of tinsel as well. Am I looking in the wrong places ? This evening I went to Asda, Lidl, B&M bargains and a couple of other places too.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,national shortage of Chrissy Decs! :)

I’ve bought a compressor fridge, a Dometic type. It’s the model that you can take off the motor and running gear off and fit it elsewhere to make your run of units much more slimline in the van, it’s a Dometic Waeco CRP 40. I bought it brand spanking new from a chap on the Late Bay who had an abandoned project and hadn’t fitted it. He let me have it very reasonably. The original idea was to carry on with my self dispensing coolbox / fridge idea , but that got kicked into touch when I saw how good it was. I’ve been out there today fidgeting about with it and it’s driving me bonkers. Got the fridge sliding in and out but not happy with the new CB position under the top. Works great, but can’t see the switches or the channel display which, isn’t mind shattering but is a pain in the whatsit, especially if you want to get off the breaking channel, as happened on Sunday.

IMG_4878.jpegIMG_4877.jpegIMG_4874.jpegFirst pic shows it flush or slightly recessed, second shows it slid forward so that we can open the door wide as in the third picture. The gap between the top and the fridge is where I’ve bolted the CB radio in but accessed from the drivers seat. Nice and tidy and out of the way but not really mega convenient when driving. I’ll have a bit of a rethink here. My front speakers are right in the way for where this little CB would fit nicely unfortunately.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, Power next

Here’s the drawer runners with the under fixing arrangement’s.
IMG_4814.jpegIMG_4814.jpegThis was the final version. If you look on the left hand side, you may be able to make out the original pressed out hook that would fit neatly into the hole in the rear of a drawer. Unfortunately that couldn’t work in this case because there’s no drawer box and the rear of the fridge is mostly air in that section. So I’ve glued some ply spacers for the height required and made new hooks to bite into the back of the fridge but six or seven inches further up the runner. This was version three, th3 previous ones interfered with th3 rollers with their fixings.IMG_4870.jpegI thought I’d bolt these little guys on, but the bolts, set screws, and rivets all interfered with the rollers, so made some beefier types but relying on glue, I opted for angle dexion so the glue was on two different faces hoping that’ll be tuff E nuff to resist the pull.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,we’ll find out after Ninove I guess :)
