Sierra Yellow paint.........differant shades??

I'm considering painting the lower half of my 71 Sierra Yellow Deluxe. Digging around, looking at other buses, the colour seems to vary quite a lot.

I prefer the more mustard, rusty shade as opposed to the orange look that some have. I'm wondering if people have tweaked the paint slightly when respraying or if it's just a fading thing? Or maybe just the camera that's used to take the picture??

I've also noticed that Porsche used a similar colour around that time called Bahama Yellow. Anyone painted their bus that colour?

I love Sierra Yellow if the shade is right but if it's "too orange" it looks like a late bay colour to me.

Any feedback would be appreciated,

There is The new Mini painted a similar
colour to sierra yellow also I have seen.

I've just had a look and they also did a 'Bronze Yellow' between 70 and 74 that looks quite similar.

Does anyone know if you can ad stuff to the paint to tone it down?

Colour of primer underneath makes a big difference,also every paint suppliers version of sierra yellow will be different!
