Morning all.

As mentioned in my threaed the bus is always going through change and so the next change is the outside.

As we are going to paint at the end of next year we are going to have the bus sign written and laquered for next season, well if we like it loads the we may extend the painting schedule.

Anyway who is up for signwriting our bus , i had a few in mind but anybody got any suggestions, the sign writing is mainly going to be almost non existent on the primer and faded to original on whats left of the paint.

Localish would be good.

The look we are after is a cross between the speed master and the laundry bus. have the logo design ready.

Oh and so when its done the bus will have a name change too...... The Newman Haas bus!

Funds ready for the right job guys ill put a pic up in a bit of the bus and the signwriting required and so maybe i could ask a favour from one of you photoshop gurus. ta

Prosign? On here as 'pinstriper'

Paint your bus?? :?

Hayburner magazine has an ad for patina signwriting, and funds help keep the mag going, Ned the editor is on here,

not sure how far they willl be from you.cant find my mags!

i get it that the paints og and all but , its our bus and as said before have noticed it getting slightly worse, so figured why not have it sign written, and as for og paint, well the roof aint og no more and nea=ither is anything else.
I understand the patina police and all there commitmeent to that but, ours isnt even paint its only primer left and that is porous and so why not have a bit of fun for a year or two prior to paint.

our bus our rules, not wanting to offend anyone at all , but our bus is a keeper and therefore have to look after it the best we can.

there are plenty of og cars in the scrapyard and we dont want to go down that route just yet.

asfor the sisn writing those two guys were what i had in mind only i bet ned would be a whole lot cheaper, not to knock prosigns work , which is totally amazing.

ta for the thoughts all welcomed.

jth...... hiding behind the sofa in fear of the patina police :msn4:

I say do what you want with it after all its yours. Hopefully you go with a high quality paint job. I personally like the patina, especially with no rot or major damage.

This my only thought and its just an opinion, so take it from there. That logo looks way to new to try to fake by distressing it to look old. I'm not sure of the background of the logo but looks very late 80's to me.

Love the faded sign writing idea John, but i think an older font would look better, but like you said its your bus.
