Sliding door spring

I take it there should be a spring for the latch in the white block that is attached to camper body, does anybody have the part number for the spring please? What is the correct term for the block that's attached to the van?

I know there is a spring between the 2 rusty latches on the right hand side of the pic.

Yes there should be a spring, I believe coolairvw sell new replacements as I fitted one and it works a treat.

VW's term (as per their parts book) for the "block" is "retainer".
Part number of spring is 211 843 755.
