My sliding door does not pop open. Have to pull on the louvered window to get it to release. Im assuming something is missing??

Anyone ideas?? I know nowt about these

:(

Could be that the spring loaded part(rearmost centre mount) needslubing n working free. Its the u shaped bracket the roler attaches to that is spring loaded i think.Start with wd40 then regularly oil. also oil upper, lower and centre runners(nothing to do with your problem but makes your door glide rather than slide  .
If oiling the u shape doesnt fix it you will have to pull the inner panel off to see if there are any probs inside.

Page form a hand book explaining where to lube.

graphite powder in the lock cylinders.. theres a handy tip 8)

My old man was a locksmith and said to never put oil in locks, it attracts dirt and grit and ruins the barrel eventually, always use graphite powder. If you have none, just rub a pencil all over your key a few times. :D
