Hmmmm interesting the fuel cap since the 73 late still had the flap, 73 registration ......

I was wondering about the dates for the fuel flap/cap - cant find my copy of the Molenaar bible to check the exact date of change.

The Meredith book puts the flap as aug 72 being deleted but recently stumbled on two early 73s in original condition unadulterated (one yesterday) both having the flap...

Just found it ;) 08.73 fuel filler changed - I reckon its had a replacement panel there at some point - there are a lot of other early/crossover parts on there that are right like the brake fluid reservoir, door latches, sliding door lock, dials, central heater lever, steering wheel, column, one year only front arches & indicator switch etc etc

Which would tie in with the above from the Molenaar book ;)

and camper and bus has a nice looking 73 with close up of flap....

I'd pose the Q about the rear quarter as that is likely to be an area of concern to keep an eye open for any rust appearing....any pics of the restoration may well highlight it.....

Yep, petrol flap carried over to the 73 model year.

A nice crossover Danbury with good original interior, but with the replacement front and quarter panel, as has been mentioned. :)
