Spotlight!!!

Just got a spotlight an its got one black cable an one thats red an yellow??
Does anyone no which is earth an which is live????
Can anybody tell me??

Black is Earth / negative
Red is live

but just in case take a look at the fitment inside, the centre will be 12v the side/bowl connection will be return...its never wise to rely on wire colours
