Steel or alloy ? That is the question. :? I can see lots of different suppliers, is there a good one ?

Without a doubt go BBT steel as you can get a decent offset and differing sizes front to rear.
IMO the best combo is 5.5"wide by 25ET on the rear and 4.5"wide on the front by 34ET. This combo will give a staggered look (wide rear skinny front)

Would they work ok with lowered springplates and spindles with disk conversion up front ? I know some chrome is cheap and rusts or flakes off but some of the alloy is the same goes white n fury just looking at it. Is there anywhere in the uk they can be picked up.

Clem has the same width and offset on the rear as I have suggested and they work fine.
As for the front I. Any see it would be any issue as 34ET is about 10mm less than standard, a lot of after market wheels are under 25 making them sit closer to the outside of the bus (widening the track).
I had the chrome and it failed very quickly I believe that BBT have stopped doing the chrome now.
jK sell the painted ones I think cool air do also not sure if T2D still do.
IMO the alloy ones have all the wrong profile of the edge at of the spikes and rims and just don't look right.
Mid you do get BBT check the finish on them thoroughly before fitting them as I can be a bit poor.

Heritage have got some, would these be the same ? just haven't got the choice on the offsets.

They are the BBt ones, I would give them a call and ask them to order the correct offset and width for you.
A few months back I contact BBT and asked if the 5.5 in 25et would fit the rear and they told me they are specifically made in this width and offset for the rear of an early bay.
