So, as the wheel is so big what does everyone have as a stearing lock in their bus?

Sorry yes I mean steering locks as in security. Mainly what will fit on the massive bay steering wheel as a lock :?:

Im just about to order a JK cover too :D

Again I have a standard crooklock - only really for show as you could still drive with it on - and a JK cover.

If you can find one, you can get gearstick locks built into the base. If you have the money Berg do a class billet locking gearshift and comes in both RHD and LHD offering, works out at $400 over the counter, not sure what mail order is. cool as fook though.

Was thinking about getting one of these:

...for when we're travelling round europe next year. Anyone ever used/seen one?

i cant see how it works? :?

you slip it down the between the glass and it stops the doors opening, but what if they smash your glass and lift it up? does it lock into place?

I don't think it locks into place, the bar being an adjustable length will probably lock at the desired length but I can't see how the plate locks to the window/door.

I guess its more of a hinderance to someone getting into a van, after all, any lock can be broken. There were a few stories of doors being forced open a few years back so I guess its a cheap response to those tales!

I read a link (can't remember if it was on here) of a couple who jacked in there lives in the states sold everything and drove all over the world. They guy welded braces over his doors and windows and fitted padlocks to keep people out.

I guess its just what lengths peope are willing to go to protect their van/belongings.

thats very true, if they want it they will find a way to take it, the scumbags

i bet if you made some brackets to attach/weld to the door frame and could lock that brace bar into them, it would be a great deterent, even if you smashed the window you wouldnt be able to remove it that easy :D
