Hi - Does anyone know what steel wheels were standard on a 1970 bus. Was it the wide 5 14"? Are there any that are wide 5 15". I want to get my wheels blasted and coated and wondered whether 15" would be better than 14"? Cheers

hmmmm mine has 15s wide 5 but i think they are early splitty wheels, so not to sure 8)

On a 1970 model year bus it would have been wide 5 14" wheels, I managed to buy a wide 5 15" at Stanford to use as a spare to my alloys but I'm not sure what it came off.

also think it would be 14's but 15's would look discreet, who are you using for the powder coating?

A company near me in Leeds...£30 a wheel blasted and coated. Not bad hey!

Just need to figure out whether I really want 15" wheels. Can anyone tell me the true advantages of doing this? Does it just mean that I can have lower profile tyres?

Got 15" steels on mine mate , as they allowed me to go quite low 8) and run lo pro tyres

Got the wheels off Monkeyspinner Tim they came from a split . Mine is a 69` with wide 5`s

Hope this helps . Ill put tyre combo up in Easys stance thread soon 8)
