Steering box '67 Bay

Does anybody know of anyone local to the South East that might be able to refurbish a RHD steering box for me, or point me in the direction of a refurb kit for me to do myself?

I bought a spare for the one on my bus that has a lot of play. However, i am reluctant to go to all the effort of putting the spare on only to find that it may also has the same sort of play. Which is why i'd rather get it overhauld befor putting it on!

The steering box VW part no. is:

214 415 049 F

took me a year to find a lhd one as mine was f**ked, try Graham at FBI I paid reasonable money for one, do not buy new as they are usually pants

technically you cant unless its NOS

a few places sell new/recondishoned ones, but dubious quality some of em

you can get the 73 up new sometimes but they are super poop! :wink:
