I am looking to change the steering wheel on my '69 westy and have purchased a nice 15" wooden rim; I've just spotted a 17" version from the same supplier and don't know whether to exchange it or not - no problem with the supplier to do that. My question is what will be the noticable affect of having a 15" or is it best to stick to a standard 17" wheel
Thanks as always

From memory - I put a 15" woodrim on my old bay and had a few issues. 1 it was slippy when hands get hot. 2. You couldn't see all of the dials properly 3. it was more effort to park/turn etc.

It did look nice though and gave a bit more space when sat there talking to people in the back.

Cheers Jon
Sounds like enough good reasons to change for the 17", it's as close as I think I'm going to get to a bit of polished bling ....
