So long as the are the right size, spacing and colour, you'll be ok. Just claim it was always on there. You'd be very unlucky to get pulled unless you have changed the font etc.
I run a 3/4 size plate on the nose of my Caterham and plod seem not to bother me.

Tis an MOT fail unfortunately but if you can get away with it..... 8)

I'll check with my mate he's an mot inspector

He's doing mine next week :?

I was stopped for having these about 6 years ago on my minis bonnet, was given a 2 week notice order to get a proper number plate. The law maybe different now though.

Since when is any pre 73 plate (black and silver) reflective ?

Needs to have the reflective background ;)

Not if it's old type back and white (or silver) letters, pre 73 i think, its black plates, mine are not reflective, just pressed steel with raised plastic letters, has been this way since imported, so that at least 5 MOT's, including just passing last Friday

As for sticky letters, not too sure...

I've got mine stuck on the front bumper… correct size numbers/letters etc, I guess it also helps being black numbers/letters on a white bumper

The numbers/letters are from our number plate maker at work and are self adhesive as they have to stick on the reflective backgrounds and stick quite well to a freshly painted bumper

That's exactly what I wanted I've got the letters and numbers done already to go on
My mot inspector said there isn't an issue with them going on the bumper so as soon as the mot work I'd done I'll get em on 8)
