Vans in for MOT tomorrow, everythings looking good except for the exhaust, its on its last legs. However in the garage I have a brand spanking new turbo thomas stainless badboy turbo muffler masterpiece 8) waiting to be fitted (no pre-heat pipes), will I be able to use this with the stock carb for a few weeks while I prepare my Dellorto 36 DRLAs for fitment? bearing in mind that I am going on holiday to Scotland (from South Wales)for a couple of weeks.
Did wonder whether temporarily fitting one of the IMDU (inlet manifold de-icing unit???) heated blanket things might help in the short term? although I seem to remember these arent much cop at stopping manifold icing anyway.
Any suggestions or people that are successfully running with stock carb and non-preheat exhaust? or experiences with the IMDU thing?
