I'm running stock height, with big bouncy commercial tyres and enjoying the ride !

I love the way slammed vans look, but worried about the quality of ride.

I should drive some lowered buses really...

Stock or slammed what's everyones opinion ?

Slammed, everytime. Done right...

THaus dropped spindles, adjustable spring plates, low pros at the front and some means of stiffening the front suspension. Be it coilovers as recomended by most or adjustable dampers as I chose. Happy days.

Chassis notching is a step too far in my opinion...

Had it both ways (ohh err missus) and I must say as far as the ride goes, stock was the better of the two. Mines not really low, but I still have to watch out for drastic road variations otherwise it will bottomout. Of course, that could be due to the way it's been lowered (not by me) which i'm not sure about although I was told it was done "professionally" whatever that means. I'm more used to it now though and it does look good.

Slammed all day
set up correctly it's still as comfy and useable as stock :D

every car i ever own i ruin. my golf currently sits outside my house so low that my new wheels hit their rim on the arch. desperately looking for a way to run it that low yet not catch. it aint going back up  . when my bus hits the road (not long) i am sure i will be in the same boat. rendering a perfectly usefull car useless, all in the aim off it looking good. if you want to use it, go for the purposefull motorsport look. drop plates, thaus spindles, modern good tyres. best of both worlds :D

sadly i fit into the other camp of slam the sh#t out of it

Drop it like it's hot!

I love the look of a dropped bus.. but can appreciate that a stocker may be a tad more comfy... mine is dropped mildy - it's not the most comfortable TBH, but I'm not running dropped spindles (yet!)....

I love the look of a slammed bus, but mine is so straight and stock that I can't bring myself to do it.

I had to lower mine to get him in my garage :( I`m 55 and that`s the best excuse I could come up with  Every different version looks good, stock , lowered , very low , extra low , even the Aussie raised look with the off road connotations. T House spindles, coil over shocks, low pro tyres on the front, slamworks plates on the back on brms . It drives OK but nowhere near as good as stock. If stock is 100%, then I reckon my driveability and comfort are at about 65% which to some is not acceptable, but looks pretty cool

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,, BEWARE : Lowering is addictive !! 8)

Stock for me, though I did consider a mild lowering. camper goes in for a bit of paint in winter so I am having the wheels repainted, with those Toyota tyres mentioned earlier,

I'm thinking of raising mine slightly! Anyone got any pics of Aussie style offroad bays. Just thinking slightly bigger mud sort of tyres?
