Stockport meets

Just joined as I have just bought a 68 bay, also own (under restoration) a 65 split. Wanted to know if there are any clubs around the Stockport area, as I live in Glossop and would be handy to meet up whenever I can.

Sounds like you have a couple of sweet busses!

Sure you already know this, but just in case...
Alan H Schofield is a panel and restoration parts supplier for splits and bays near Glossop off of Dinting Lane by the railroad viaduct, they might know about clubs and such in your area. Nice guys working there.

Yes during the restoration of my Split I have spent ££££££'s with mr Schofield. I never thought of asking him. Just seems that trawling the net for local clubs/owners, there does seem to be a few people locally that own buses, however there seems to be a lack of meets! I could only attend anything every now and again as I work away for 4 weeks at a time. Otherwise I would try and get one going. Any takers??

Whilst I'm not in Glossop I'd be up for a meet in Peaks somewhere, Snake or Ladyboy (bower) Inn or somewhere like that, might even tempt Sheffield types out?

hey. thats superb. as i say i do work away for 4 weeks at a time, but count me in for meetings anytime i am at home. thanks for the positive response, thats excellent.

Let me know when your'e about, DBB - i actually might be leaving the van in my brothers garage in Nantwich for a month or two next year so there's another option for a stoke/staffs/cheshire meet.

Could organise A Peaks one early next year if you boys are about.
