I baught this 70 Deluxe off of Streetboy last year and just fancied putting some up to date pix up
After buying the T2 last year(August i think) i did 1 show in it, VW Action.
A week later it was stripped Windows,Bumpers, engine, dash, interior .............
And off to the bodyshop for front panel repairs.
Cutting a long story short its had
1 Full engine rebuild
2 Front panel repair n paint
3 Deluxe window rubbers
4 Brand new whiteband tyres, although the white has started to turn brown
5 Sunroof(Was fitted last week after pix were taken)
6 Brake overhaul
Just a roof paint n camping interior to go and im ready for another season camping.

Hoosier,
Can you tell me more about the sunroof, what you had done etc,ant shots of it fitted, has it got the headlining fitted etc
Also I like the Ssticker on the back window -can you tell me what it is or where it came from.
cheers Paul

When i baught it the sunroof and mechanism wernt fitted as the sunroof was rusted beyond repair.Baught one from Scott Wilson(on here) had it shot blasted n repaired n fitted it all last week.
Fitted n had it running within 30 mins
Needed adjusting to get it right.
But its comming out again tomorrow as heat from welding has distorted the sunroof n it needs straightening(Wares the hammer lol).
Then the whole roof will be painted in a couple of weeks.

Sticker?
Which one you interested in?

Looks nice dude , could do with black n silver number platesIMO 8)

Keep me informed on the progress with the sunroof as I need to get mine done soon, very interested in the cost of the respray.
The sticker I was interested in was the S one on the rear hatch.
regards Paul

Well well Hoosier, who's been a busy bunny then! ahh, the memories

looking good fella and I'm so glad she's getting the attention she deserves :D

Also agreed with the plates, it was a last ditch effort to get plates on it before its maiden voyage to France, only had it registered a couple of days before. 700 mile round trip and never missed a beat :D

Be good to see it in the flesh again, I miss that old girl, one day eh?

Streetboys 'new toy' should be running this week and making its way to Seattle.

Cheers for the positive replies chaps 8)
Paul
The sticker in the back window is the logo for a company called TFL(Truck fitments LTD).
They build recovery lorries from the chassis up.
They are ownd by the company i work for and have 1/2 the workshop space ware i work.So i just went and asked for the sticker
I like stickery windows, you may have noticed

Cheers Streetboy for selling me this bus and making me skint over Christmas lol.
Glad to see you havnt lost the bug as it were.If the bus you are importing is anything like
the one you sold me, you have done well (hope it is).
And yes it will be put to good use this year and hope to go to a lot of shows in itso im sure you will see it before to long.

Any chance of asking for another sticker? Looks like a long and winding road!
We could meet up at Volksworld and i could have a good look at your sunroof.
My bus is almost identical to yours, montana red, cloud white, sunroof (orange at presentwhich is why I was interested in your roof spray)
Paul
followed your window saga with interest as i need to do mine, did you use plastic trim or original metal?

Will ask tomorrow for a sticker,it is a long winding rd.
Whats your sunroof situation?
I can take pix tomorrow of certain bits if you need me to?
As for the roof spray, a mates doing it
p.s
plastic trim.Still looks good even if the trim is plastic.

Thanks for that with the sticker-just looked at there website and the new logo messes up the simplicity of the sticker(imho)
My sunroof situation is:
manual operation
held up with 2 bits of wood
new cables in shed
inner lining in shed
can't work out how to fit inner liner
felt trim under the bed(need to spray roof before fitting)

I need to see one up and running before I tackle mine-then theres the headlining......

Streetboy,
Thanks for putting that pic up!
At last my bus makes its appearance on EB!!
The only thing thats changed is it now has rear overriders.
see you both at Sandown
