If you go for it the just find a local sign writer and they will sticker you up or simply mask off the stripes yourself and prep and paint.
I've had a drink but to be honest it would look crap on your bus mate, leave it alone.

now I look I think you can only pull it of on slammed buses

Lowered slightly ratty looking buses look amazing with stripes on!!!
Not sure how well your nice shiny bus would pull it off!!!!???

Loving the look of that bus in the OP. But as said, I think the overall look of the bus will have a big effect on how it looks overall. Dare I say it, but some good patina seems to suit them well and nice to see something a little different to the norm.

try it with vinyl (stick on) first - no risk and good way to mock up.

I reckon strips on a freshly painted super clean bus could look good but they'd need to be as bright as the rest of the paint work and dare I say it professionally done

Any person in the graphics game would be able to do these for you. I`d buy some cheapo insulating tape first and bang em on one side and run with it for a while and if you likes it then get it done and bollox to any one else. One other thing that seems to have escaped peoples memory  is that these stripes were available from new on some busses so they didn`t need to have the `ratty look` to roll with stripes. Some stripes were available as dealer extras in various parts of the world and when models are hard to sell, dealers have been known to throw in extras to sweeten the deal, and not necessarily VW extras. If we both get some, then we can be the Starsky and Hutch of the Early Bay world :p  :p

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Just stickers ! Roll with it

I think some of pale blue and darker blue would look good.
Joe Halliday has some crackers on his bus, different to many of the ones you see about.

That webpage looks like your picking graphics for your car in a racing game.

Had some stripes on my bus- they've gone now, but I did like them. Maybe if one day I find some good pics of it in it's former life I'll think about putting them back on.

I was one of the first to add the stripes to my van (i think)
Got them done by the same chap who sigh writes my work wagons.

Do look better on a lower van imo.
