ok stripped down the front end of my today to do ball joints and it was a lot easier than i thought learned how the front beem works etc,i tried some standard shocks on it before strip down and i must say i wasnt impressed with this set up,i have a cut and turned beem which is down about three inch but i want more so i was speaking to simon at red 9 and suggested to go with 5 inch drop coilovers which are adjustable so i will be able to get in and out of my drive,so well it is all stripped down i thought sod it and treat myself to a new front set up,so i was wondering is this the right thing to go for?and is it a nice ride?and is it easy to do and what are the long rods for that i can see in the picture with the shocks some info on this would be much appreciated as im off to reading on wednsday for the buses first long run and would like to get this all done

cheers

Check out my poll, over 60% went for Red9, so thats helped me make my decision. Apparantly there's 10% discount for early bayers too?!?

You've made the right choice - give them a ring, they're super-friendly and helpful! (Don't forget to ask for your discount!!).

Those long bars you asked about are called Tie Rods - they replace the torsion leaves in your beam and keep both sides 'tied' to the beam.
