Just wanted to get your thoughts/ ideas on doing a subaru 2.0 litre non-turbo conversion.
Anyone ever done one or thinking about it? , i am, already bought the donor car! :D

If you're going to do an engine transplant then the scooby is the one to go for imho. Are you planning to d.i.y or have a garage fit it? I've heard it's a bit complex as in the wiring side of things.

have a look on VWKD.com loads of info on there plus people with running conversions.

Lots of buses out there with scooby engines, couple of companies making all the conversion bits as well.

Look at RJES http://www.rjes.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or Fellowes Speed Shop http://fellowsspeedshop.tumblr.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks for the info , i will be doing all the installation myself with a little help from matt attwood who has already converted his T25 to a 2.5 subaru , should be an interesting journey and i will post some pics when i get underway. I have already been on RJES website and i think i will be taking a trip to see them. :D

Andy Raw at AMR in Exning, Nr Newmarket is an expert on Subaru conversions and is a nice bloke too. (Also trades as TSR Racing as well)

2.0 n/a in mine....one of the best things I've done to the bus :D
Richard at RJES very helpful and his parts are great quality too....but he is a very busy man!!
Good luck with the conversion
Al
