not straight forward this suspesnion lark is it??

Do I really need a 4" narrowed beam.... Will I regret if I don't!!! and If I'm taking my beam off anyway, then this seems like a good offer!! After all, it's £100 for the adjusters and then I have to weld em on myself! The weedeater.... well although nice, I don't fancy cutting the torsion bars myself???

I really want a low bus..... why isn't life simple

if your adding dropped spindles then a 2" or 4" narrowed beam will help the offset as spindles add 12mm each side, if you have porsche adapters then its even more of a help. I'm hoping to go narrow with coilovers so not having to worry about adjusters and add spindles so i dont have to adjust the coilovers too low and wreck the balljoints.

that sounds expensive though? I've looked at the red 9 design stuff but I'm unsure how low it will go with a standard beam.... looks the easiest way but will I still need drop spindles. If I spend money, I don't want to thing I wish I'd gone lower!!

This is about as low as you can go without a narrowed beam, give or take an inch when you take into account low profile tyres... These are 65s.

Even at this height I had to chop the bottom off the beam to stop it scraping on speed bumps.

weedeater beam and a few splines at the back. Thats the way to go

I have only just got the weedeater so will let you know the results when ive driven it for a bit :D

I have had vans for some 12 years and have always used the splines method at the back and NEVER had any probs. There are kits and are good but not worth it imo. 8)

My only other mod would be JGE Raders which are 5J I think... would they fit in the arches without the narrowed beam?

Great looking Bus by the way.... that's about as low as I'd want to go in all honesty

with red9 you can always adjust it more ... i think there is about 6 inches of play at least in their kit. the bonus is no loss of ride quality. With adjusters you lose ride quality the lower you go.

you can also go up and down on adjusters either way will work and there are always safety concerns with red9 but i havent heard anyones fail yet and they have been running for years.

What budget had you got in mind anyway? as i might be ordering 2 pairs of spindles from wagenwest and will offload one at what they cost me.

Hi just looked at bit closer at my front shocks which have a spring over them and at the bottom about 2" of thread, are these adjustable ?? am i right in thinking i can go lower andif i ad some 165/50/15 this would stop the scrapping the arch....Rowan

I was considering one of those but I hate urethane, I'm still swaying towards Red9.....need to decide soon - bus cleared customs today... :D
