Sweet 1600cc twinport.

I have a spare stock 1600cc twin port long block engine up for grabs.

I have fitted a new flywheel oil seal as it was a bit weepy. It has a 200mm flywheel. I set the valves before doing a compression test. There is 130psi on all 4 cylinders which is very good. It runs very quiet with no knocks or rattles. There is no excess end float.

It will fit a Beetle or splitty, but you would need a case adapter bracket to fit to a bay.

I have the tinware which will be back from powder coating next week. It is being done gloss black. I would sell this for £195.

I can make the engine up complete with the fresh tin, powder coated silver stock manifold, carb, 55 amp int reg alternator, 009 dizzy, good beetle exhaust & heat exchangers for £595 with new gaskets ready to run. You can hear/see it run on the bench & I can even help with fitting.

OK, all of the tin is back from the powder coaters.

He did it SATIN BLACK. So who ever wants it, just let me know. I would like collection only on this as there is a fair amount of it.

I will get some pics of it tomorrow with a list of all bits there. It is a complete set minus front & rear tins.

If not I am building up another engine soon, so it could be made turn key with this tin.

Pete sorry to hijac the thread how much did the powder coating cost ball park figure? Just I have a full solid set of tin that I want coating just to make it pretty... :wink:
