Hi all, my current tailgate seal drops into the van when you close the tail at the top . Every time you open the TG the seal is hanging down and you need to feed it back into the channel. I've just ordered a new seal to see if that fixes things but has anyone any tips on how to fix a new one as I've never done it before and at £60 I don't want to ruin it.

Cheers.

I cleaned out all the old glue and sealant it took ages and then I used evostick contact adhesive which wasn't perfect and water proof bathroom sealant. It is totally watr tight but a bit of a sod to shut a bit of a slam.

They were like this from new. If you don't need to slam it to close it then it's probably too loos and may leak.

They do need some glue to keep them in place, especially true in winter, when, like any door seal, they can freeze onto the hatch.

Am I better off buying a waterproof sealant then and just letting the seal set overnight before I close the hatch?
