I just got a 74 tall door high roof panel. And the m code plate has A28 on it and i can not find that code anywhere. I know the bus was build and sent to france. But A28 is the only m code. Does anyone have any info on that m code??

Hi Scott

For a 74 model A28 is a combination code which includes:
124 = Yellow headlamp bulbs and safety inner rear view mirror (1968-75 France)
506 = Brake Servo and dual circuit brake control lamp (1968 -75)

Hope thats of some help

I owned this for a while -

Hightop panels are just so so ugly, and yet everytime I see one I cant help but think that I want one
Really liked the look of the swiss post hightop on fuchs that was for sale earlier in the year, didnt dare get close to it though just in case the urge became too strong

very nice. You wouldn't happen to have any pics of that post bus? I am thinking of making my highroof into a moble shop for my formulla vee. I will post some pics of it tomorrow when i get to work. she has alot and i mean alot or cancer so i have found a doner 74 standard bus to convert over. already made the panels to weld up the windows. Right now the highroof has those HELAWERKS pop out windows in it. There are 3 of them and i was thinking but not sure yet of moving them from the body to the roof but all that is still floating in my head.
