The carpet is stuck down, but only in some key points, so that it can be easily moved if needed. All the rest of the carpet in the front is mats ;) Some are held in place by poppers to prevent sliding around 8)

Bean cans out! took the old girl down another spline at the back and dropped the bean as much as I wanted to go, so that it was still comfy to drive. Love its now, just got to get some miles under its belt and then a visit to Ant and Mr whitewalls ;) 8)

Hi Easy
Really cool looking van! Are you still just running a weedeater beam and no dropped spindles?
Is the ride still really good even that low?
Looks amazing!
Chris

heres my bean tin shot of the front, will do the rear when my engines back in, let me know how it is at that height, as my exhaust is very similar to yours, and i want the rear down some too

Yup weedeater and no dropped spindles on CE adjustable shocks and 2 splines down at the back, i have about 6.5" of clearance under the front bumper. It doesnt gound out on corners or bumps even with me and the misses in the front and all our holiday stuff.

The ride is perfect, not bouncy and not harsh atall, its just about speding a bit of time getting the shocks on the right setting and the beam adjusted correctly.

Slammedresto - the ride is fine dood, go for it. Just make sure you have good new shocks on the back and its fine

doing some more work on the bus recently  I have just upgraded and replaced my split charger system, with much bigger cable and better relay, so It can all handle my stereo and amp ;)

Here is the new install, just got to tidy up the wires and its done ;)

New cable to alternator

New relay and big ol cables, plus a massive fuse to help things be nice and safe 8)

Had to get a tyre re fitted as it wasnt seating right and was slowly going down. Removed my curb feelers :( but until i get some stainless ones they are staying off.! Just got to fit my stainless wiper arms and blades now

That ride height looks even better than before EZ. I'm still cracking my head on the bumps and was going to go down the dropped spindles route, but if your ride is that good that low I'm going to re-think. Any suggestions on where to start ? ;)

easy,

did I read somewhere that you are rolling on 15" stock rims? What are they off? I was of the belief that stock were 14"?

cheers dooder

J

The wheels are 15" splitty wheels, but i am sure that some early bays had them on, but dont quote me! :msn4:

Now its as low as i want it, i can honestly say its the best ride I have got yet! not harsh or bouncy, just a little play with the adjustable shocks and its all good to go! 8) really simple set up aswell just cash at the end of the day ;)

tintintin - dropped spindles are a good way to go, but all mine is just a bit more expensive with the beam and shock combo. It works like a charm if you stick to the boundries, i.e get the best shocks you can (basically adjustable gas filled jobs) it seems like you will have some troubles if you try coil overs or other types of combos, but as you can see this works like a dream so i would say ........go for it!

What shocks you rollin' with then Easy? I have T2D slam shox on the front and stock on the back. Was going to changes the rear shocks for some Spax ones, measured to the correct size. :)

What do you think?

They sound good. I have the creative adjustable ones and are really good and work well with the low ride 8)

Stainless wiper arms and blades .....done! look much better now and they are a larger blade than my others so work better aswell 8)
