I have just been out to replace my brakes, i started on the front, every thing was going fine, even if it was a bit wet, but when i went to refit the brake shoes, they were the wrong ones, they are bigger/longer and thinner than the ones fitted, so wont fit! i have refitted the old ones for the time being, i was wondering if any one else has had this problem? i asked for 69 shoes, have i been given rear ones? (i cant check, as i havent got a socket big enough to remove the rear drum)

any ideas?

also what size socket to i need for the rear drums?

Thanks

Mark

46mm socket, 3/4" breaker bar and a length of scaffold

Can't help with fronts, I have discs. :p

Thanks for that, they all look like the pre 69 ones, the boxes have different numbers for teh fronts and rears, but the contents are teh same, looks like someone has swapped the contents!!!

GRRRREAT stuff man, I was looking for some kind of comparison chart!!!
I have late bay rear brakes and discs in front, so this just saved me a lot of hassle!!
Any more where that came from?
Cheers!
