I saw one of the newer Danbury Brasil Busses Today in a dark blue metallic
and noticed how Rippled they are when you look at them side on ,
you would of thought that when Danbury had the raw bus in the first place they would a least spend more time on the prep
gotta get the £££££££££££££££££££s in I suppose
I am so glad I own my 72 with all the issues with the older (Genuine German) ones :)

Their troubles don't stop there I'm afraid, I saw a 09 plate one down South last year when on my hols, and there was rot holes the size of 50p pieces in the doors and sills etc, can see they would need a full resto before they're 10 years old

A New Danbury has prices starting from £33,849

Now if it was me I could build a Stonking bus for that money with a much higher spec and build quality than danbury could even dream of.

The new danbury's have a 1.4 Polo engine on a Splitty rear chassis with a gearbox that is not the best, this is just the start, then you have the quality of the van itself.

I know which way I'd spend that kind of money if I had it. ;)

I'd still rather see them around than t4's and 5's :D

Got the chance to have a look under one of these on a 4 post lift
Couldn't believe how poorly they are put together and that they have King and Linkpin suspension

Do these new buses have the standard torsion bar front beam with the king and linkpin setup ,if so would these run better lowered than ball joints ?

I bet they need greasing regularly then - wonder if the new owners are told this.....

Admittedly mine is not all new parts, but I agree with Alex, I would be more than happy to build one of these to a customers spec for the same/less money

Mine was less that this to build and it's A LOT highere spec including a Porsche engine!

Maybe this is where the likes of gdaykombi's get their wildly expensive build prices from...

They have their own forum, where they can discuss warranty issues etc...

Warrenty issues :)
Going back When the bus failed MOT I needed a new servo I went the cheap Braza route ......... complete brake servo+master cylinder for £23.22 or summat
after drilling the servo mount on the beam to make it fit
it lasted 6 months then failed so I ripped it out and flung it in the skip........ False economy good luck to um I say, :)

You wait and see one day it will be can I fit a secondhand 71 whatever to a 2011 Bus?

I think a few celebs have had them. Pete Townsend and Richard Hammond spring to mind. If you've got the dosh, garage space to keep
It dry and want something to drive to the local organic food festival ;) then why not?

Check out this beauty.. Rat look in no time...
