hia ,ive mentioned before .but . looking through all the van sales its always the owners selling bumping etc and looks like not much action. I also placed an add ,and had one interest from here, but lots of interest vzi and a facebook van site! is it because this site is looked at mostly by us that have a van already..? people have put that I bought my van etc from here but that baffles me ( I did but wanted 2 vans). at the min there are 12 people all just us (sort of raising the advert!) its not condition as lots from vzi, mails and txt's.? just wondering that's all..

Things do sell regularly on here, this time of year is probably the quietist though. Interest elsewhere might seem keen if comments on a sale thread are taken into account, but any comments like that are discouraged and deleted here as they add nothing. Good luck with the sale. :D

When I was looking some time ago I couldn't find nothing for a good price !
I am happy with my bay at mo which I found but for family reasons as some know I may at some point have to regrettably change it for a pop top?
So I've been looking around and it seems there are some cheepish buses around
There has def been a couple of westys I would have purchased a year or two ago at reasonable prices
I'm not sure what the market is doing at the mo ?

Strangely some busses reach Hugh prices

What's people's thoughts

IMO its all about price and individuality............. The reason busses don't sell is because the owner wants more for them than they are worth plus because our bus is so individual you need to find that elusive buyer with money AND the same passion for your bus as you. That's the hard bit if you have built/modified your bus to your spec. My advice is to keep in mind that you may want to sell in the future and don't be too radical :D :D..... I know Im generalising but modded busses usually appeal more to younger potential purchasers but they generally don't have the spare cash to buy!!... As I said, IMO

I agree with you. The few buses that I have seen go for big money were not just in outstanding condition but were also largely unmolested or with a few subtle and well done changes.

It's nothing special to buses or even VWs in general. It's much the same story across the whole market, with the exception of top concours show customs (but that's a whole different game and despite huge prices, the build cost is often not recovered). Even a 1904 De Dion Bouton will be worth less if it has a bunch of non original modifications.

I agree but some of these are just imported so a blank canvas, and then there are still people looking under wanted for a van describing whats for sale down the page!!?? buy that then.! there should be no need for a van Wanted add on this site , surely there's lots to choose. ive removed mine off here (you get fed up with it going onto next page due to bumps) and just a bit earlier 2 interested one off vzi and another site he's on.. that's why I think its mainly once you own a van you find this site. that's all.. no moan still a very usefull forum, :D

shows you what I know ! he sold today to a lovely fella on this forum, couldnt go to a nicer place.. :D thanks

we still have our westy, hightop was for a coffee van that's not happening. still bit sad though..
