I need to set the timing on the '67 bug (1300cc) engine tomorrow but I can't remember if I do it with the vacuum advance tube removed (and blocked off at the manifold) or leave it on?

I've set it up statically before but wanted to check it with a strobe if poss as it needs to be running just right for those early morning starts.

Any guidance gratefully received...

;)
