So, you would like to purchase all Bays under 1k and cut them up for parts, correct? RHD only or both?

Scott -No one would question the high quality of your vehicles , and we all know how easy it is to spend too much on a classic vehicle , but if 20>30K is the 'top-end' market then 10>20K must be middle range so
my >10K is 'bottom end market'.
This thread has certainly made me think twice about carrying on with my search cos all I'm viewing is rust .
I wish you well and thank's for all the advice along the way.................cheers -JIM.

Jim what Scott is offering is a bespoke service a very specific and after seeing the hire vehicles very well built and thought out interior.

Its also a complete nut and bolt rebuild very very time consuming labour is expensive...

10K for a bus will get you something very nice indeed fella it wont by any means be concourse but will be a very sound piece of beatiful tin

Yes I know and he has been very generous with his time in answering all my newbie question's.

But I've viewed lots of examples between 7 >10K and the have all been disappointing,
I've even moved onto Latebays -but same story (rust bubbling through in all the usual places).
I get the feeling most of them are people trying to get their money back having over-spent but
all they have done is covered it up with a view to getting shot. Hence my current depression

Cheers -JIM.

Ah you see there in lies the nub, people trying to recoup money or people seeing the boom in bay prices hoping to cash in

Jim, give in and go LHD, Graham on here has some great stuff for alot less than that. Up here in durham theres good few cheap buses.

Aye aye Jim - you still looking?! Thought you would have rested your search by now!?

LHD could be the way - a lot more bus for your money..

Cheers, Mark

i spent best part of a year searching for the right bus, also looked at splits and late bays! probebly spent £100's in travel but eventually found our bus , nearly gave up in the process but well worth the search. we wanted rhd but ended up going for a lhd cali import, i ve found that it is as easy to drive on the left as it is on the right.

Thank's lad's, I've no issue with left-hookers, in fact my cherished '66 Karmann Ghia was - but the wife would'nt go in it , she gets stressed sitting on the wrong side (weird lady :? ).
I feel better today so the search goes on, giving myself an end of year deadline to succeed or fail................Cheers -JIM.
