tune my bay at vanfest

is there anyone there who will give my 72 crossover bay a fine tune-put my 009 dizzy on and set the carb- i dont trust my local vw garage

yes just as mr vw made it totally standard, i feel its pinking a bit.

Keep it with the stock dissy, 009s aren't the best with stock carbs, they tend to create a hideous flat spot and increase the fuel consumption. If your engine is pinking it suggests it might be over advanced.

I'll keep a look out for your mate Dave. Tell him about the Dub club on a Wednesday night.

There are usually a team of (german?) guys who do a tune up service at Vanfest. Suss them out via Information when you arrive and get booked in.
