I have a couple of Devon Motents that rarely get used but the Camp-let sun shade is nearly used every time I park up

dunno mate, its deffo, early 70`s, british and designed for a bay window tho, does it not have any badges at all ?

rear end looks similar to the Motent, so perhaps made by the same makers, but not specifically for devon / VW uk

No I can't find any badges or anything with a name on it
Can't wait to use it next year I've 70,s deck chairs to match too

Here are a couple of period photos, taken in 1972 by my dad, of our then brand new house tent and also our brand new Crossover Danbury! This was our very first camping holiday (France). :D

I loved that tent, and the distinctive canvas smell!

Best offer so far, until Baz sees it!!!!!

Lets hope it's just wet on the outside, eh?????

my new favourite awning :)

friend found it for me @ camperjam

its called an INVADER, its british and i love it, you certainly wont miss your van when your drunk
looks to me to be the exact same construction as the 64-66 Devon car tent., but a bit more colourfull and badged different

i`m gonna have to make some legs shortened by about 5 inches to make it fit my lowered bus nicely

I might get dizzy sitting in that after to many brews, but really nice

new find....

early 60's Motent (pre bay window ones ) made by bradcots of harrogate
like the early beige one I had, this one has there signature transulcent roof, why all awnings dont have these i dont know, its a fantastic place to be
diamonf porthole windows on the front...and the smell...hmmmm...the smell....not the usual damp smell a 50 year old awning has, it actually just smells of canvas, fresh dry canvas...cant beat it :)

Comes complete with original bags, the pole bags got rips unfortunatly
original poles are all together with springs etc...so even a monkey can put this up in minutes
original pegs and guy ropes too

you gotta love it
