Going to see Mark at the Bus Station in Portsmouth on Saturday morning to see if he can do anything about this ugly black chasm above my front wheels.

Hopefully have some after pictures soon :D .

Cool - can't wait to see your bus slammed! Any plans for the wheels or are you keeping it stock?

Also, if it's too low then you could always consider taking out your interior to lessen the load...

;)

P.S. I'm looking for a Devon interior, anyone got one?...

;)

It's not exactly going to be slammed. I'm thinking a 3" drop on the front with adjusters and one spline on the back just to level it up a bit. Definitely sticking with stock wheels and the interior ( sorry Justin).

I'll keep an eye out for you though. What happened to ZakandNikkis' (is that right name?) devon interior on here?

Not sure - it all went a bit quiet...

;)

Good work Jeremy - will look cool on the stock wheels :)
You'll be able to keep up with me in the corners now

Yeah Jeremy needs a tap with the lowering stick but not slamming IMO would ruin the classic of your lovely Devon .

I was gonna say you could offer to help Mark with the work but I am guessing you have no spanners - Like me

Pictures and report ASAP mate 8)

I'll be checking back in here - curious to see how the ride will change after a drop.

I've been told I'll be able to keep my front shocks and any differences in ride will be positive such as it wont wallow round corners so much. I dont think it's particularly going to be a harsher ride.

We shall see :?

Oh and you're right about the spanners Grazy! Indeed I still have none

Before and after pictures from the front and back please too, not just from the side

May take ours to the slammin shop once the tin on the sideboard is full of pound coins.........

Well don't hold your breath folks. I've spoken to Mark, definitely going for it but at the same time I'm also getting some bodywork redone that's not previously been done up to standard ( local specialists  tut tut ). Looks like March at the moment, hopefully in time for Volksworld show but you know how these things drag on.

Makes sense to get it all done though dude. It'll definately be worth the extra time. :)

Like you say it's definitely worth taking time to get a quality job done. I bitterly regret the good money I've given to supposed proffesionals on sub-standard work that inevitably needs redoing.

If i lived in the South i would have no hesitation going to Mark.

Top bloke and knows his stuff.

Mark wouldn't be doing the bodywork but he recommended someone close to his workshop who could. I had a look at a work in progress (71 devon) and the guy is doing a very thorough and neat rebuild.

Very impressed :) .

Well I've thought long and hard and I've had a change of heart and have decided to leave my ride height standard i.e. nose slightly in the air as VW intended. I like the look of lowered buses but just about every bus seems to be lowered now as if it's what one automatically does when one gets a bus. Also I have no reservations about the work Mark at the Bus Station is turning out, I was very impressed with his set up and his integrity but have decided stock height is right for me. Can't be many stock height buses left and I'm staying in the minority on this and leaving it as it is. It looks fine when I'm sat in it anyway.
Sorry if some folks were anticipating after pics and no disrespect to you lowered boys and gals. There's lots of lovely buses of all kinds on this site :D

Look forward to meeting some of you at Volksworld.
