I cant promise a turntable, or owt like that, but Im sure we can position it to enable better/safer viewing - no problem. :)

should i PM you about the show?
turntables not a problem...ive already had that at the volksworld show  anyone remember the pinky gold oval as you came up the stairs the year before last???

Their loss, and to be very honest with you guys - I don't think they really catch the "vibe" that goes on around the likes of this forum, I mean they have a "target" crowd but the problem is they are in it for the money so they make choices towards keeping their positions safe...

So just shrug your shoulders and make it to the show, you'll get many, many pats on your shoulder.

Nice bus!

that is bang on fella, if it isnt slammed and on fuchs or a big money resto then they arent interested. like i said we never built it for anyone else just ourselves but its weird because very few people get it, the V dubbers like it but dont truly grasp the kustom aspect while a lot of hot rodders cant see beyond the fact it a volkswagen... and the boy racer/ hot hatch brigade just want to steal me rims
ive always been a square peg in a round hole

thats a threat isnt it? :?

Speaking of sunbeams, if we're lucky enough to have a bit of sunshine your bus will simply GLOW outside :)
I'm genuinely gutted for you it won't go inside though :(

I've only seen Chris' bus in the flesh just recently but I can confirm it's awesome-ness  Full of detail and clever tricks - those of you that have yet to see it are in for a treat!

Chris is gonna join us in the line up, so its all good 8)

I did read that the show had been swamped with requests to display this year, and space inside is limited, so I guess somethings gotta give :( Lucky we have Plan B ready to go! :D

I saw SK's van briefly the other night and it's the mutt's nutt's. Without knowing all the details, you can see this is a big money resto job. The finish is fantastic. Am looking forward to seeing it again at the show with a bit more time to have a real nose. Good work fella.

Al

The bus looks stunning man
i'm loving that colour its kicks ass!!
lookin forward to seeing it outside
with the hardcore posse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the **** do those tits know..

its actually not a big money resto, me and the missus along with help from my good friend maurice spend the last 2 years building it, thats metalwork, prep and paint, LHD to RHD conversion and all the kustom tricks, Terry (harliquin) did the interior trim work for a very good price as it was mates rates and that took the bus to another level
i built the engine along with most of the metalwork and all the paint and prep. its not the best bus ever but its my camper and its probably my best work to date.

but ill bore the hell out of you all at the volksworld show!

beginning to wonder that myself! ;)

What I was meaning to say is that whilst I was pretty sure you had done most of the works yourself/with your missus/maurice (i've been following Mike F's gallery thread) is that with the time taken and money spent on materials it would have cost someone mucho denari had they had to pay you to do it. It's your business, but it doesn't mean it isn't costing whether it is time or money. It looks great and is worthy of being in the mag...

Hey SK, I will be at the show on the sat if you need a bouncer for your van. Should have done my stuff within a hour so quite happy to keep your van safe  As long as you bring some hot chocolate

no probs matt-me, thats the thing tho... most people expect a bus like mine to have paint by X, trim by Y, engine from Z no one expects it to be done by one small group without any big name involvement, i like to see a vehicle thats been done with style and imagination rather than had a lot of cash thrown at it, mines no show winner but is a damn good effort ;)

wanderlust i may take you up on that offer, should i order up some velvet rope and golden poles? we could have ear pieces and monkey suits just like proper bouncers!

Sorry to steal the thread, but hot chocholate, thats going on my volksworld shopping list!

SK, I love your van and am really looking forward to seing it, sometimes i think that beople are afraid to do something different, thats why most gofor restoration, when i see a full on custom it reminds me why i got in to the whole VW scene so many years ago, I for one think that frenched numberplates on a funny angle rock! lol
