What's the crack with Cream/white early bays!?!
Stood on Sunday morning with maddog and Scooby watching quite a few people cleaning off the muddy water and we realised most of the line up was on the lighter side!

Great line up on both days. It was good to meet a few more people from the forum, and to see a few buses I've been waiting a while to see, especially Matt's 68 Devon (hope you got the number plate sorted dude).

Props to Clem for all the hard work, and to Rikki and Matt K for sorting the getting us all organized on the day. Roll on Big Bang :D

Whites, Cream and Beige was a popular colour with VW in the late 60s early 70s.
Had a long drunken chat about this funnily enough at the weekend with a mate and our conclusion was. Bays and T3s suit these pale/earthen colours and a bug looks better in blues, greens and metallics. This is down to the Bug being more round and shapely and T2as and T3s being flatter. (We didnt talk about splits, they dont very often crop up in our chats  )
I think VW nearly always got their colours spot on, and back in the day the public must have thought the same hence why most are either off white/cream or beige.

The westy roof looks good on cream/biege bays but i'm not so keen on it against dark coloured vans.

(no offence meant to anyone!)

In fact slammed, cream westys, rollin on a nice set of rims look ace.

BTW whose number plate fell off when leaving? When i first heard the noise it sounded really bad so i was relieved when i saw it was just a number plate

It was Matt's on the 68 Devon - I thought the gearbox had gone when I heard that noise  Glad it was only the front number plate.
