As it says!!

My pop top goes straight up and I am looking for some matching fabric to repair mine as it has perrished along the top.

If anyone is changing their roof either to repalce the canvas or to maybe put a rag top in instead I would be interested in the old canvas to hopefully use some to repair mine.

Think this kind of canvas was used on early Danbury or Devon conversions.

Thanks in anticipation
Terry

Thank you for your reply. I have spoken to Individual Interiors about 2 years ago and they could not offer me the red and white striped canvas. My van is actually a '67 split screen Canterbury Pitt conversion. Recently I discovered that the same style roof and canvas was used on early bays.

I would prefer to repair rather than replace as my van has recently had some restro work done but I have tried wherever possible to leave it as near original as possible. For example I had the rear hatch repaired rather than replaced. The van was displayed at the VolksWorld Show and recently appeared in Camper & Commercial and featured in Camper & Bus.

i think i saw this one...

did the bus belong to your dad/husband who was very big in the scene?

The van has been in the family for just over 20 years and is mine. The picture may help with my request for canvas.
The article in Camper & Bus was titled 'Child's Play'. My husband died 3 years ago this week from Motor Neurone Disease at just 51.

Yes, I'm very sorry for your loss :( , The bus is a tribute to him :) i hope you always keep it  . Its absolutely beautiful.

I'm aiming to get my Chianti Red EB devon's interior as nicely restored as you have and this has given me inspiration, .
