Hey everyone have been lurking around for a couple of weeks and not found what I want as yet, maybe I am being to hopeful
looking for a RHD preferably dormobile but may consider other poptops or tin tops
really want something that has some kind of MOT so that I can use it for the summer but don't mind something that needs a bit of work after that, although peferably not welding!!!
The sticking point is my budget is only 5kish!!!

At that kind of Budget I really think you have to be looking at a tintop Microbus/Kombi/panel van with no camping interior, just to get you the best shell for your money then theres several options open to you from there

Z hinges either used or ddffrosts repros
driveaway awnings
tents
mattress in the back
etc......

if you can find another 2500k you can have mine good solid dormi bus straight through mot last year il even put a fresh year on
never let me down only selling because of split on here in for sale threads 1968 dormobile . ;)

Yeah I am finding it hard to get what I want for my budget

chucklebrothergav - I had already seen yours but sorry its just too much for me, I could maybe stretch to a bit more but for 7.5K it'd have to have all the camping equipment and need nothing doing to it for sometime!!

hello mate it does nt need anything doing to it ive had it a year and a half never let me down straight through mot last year done about 7 k miles didnt miss a beat as for camping stuff the van sleeps three theres a full st of jk thermo matts for the windows cooker behind front seat split charging for lighting (runs on leisure battery)and ill even throw in a drive away awning . ;)

Flojo

Have a look at the RHD Project bus we have for sale now at £3750 http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12562" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, I happen to have a danbury roof available at the moment on a scrap bus, have a look at our website and drop me a line as we may be able to work something out.

Up Up Up
after 2 months of looking I am now more flexible but must be RHD but not a westfalia or devon pop top (sorry just not my taste!)
have also up'd my budget to 8k absolute max!!!

Working full and part time I am finding it really hard to get to see buses before others, was meant to be driving 3hrs to see one tomorrow but someone else got there before me :-(

Agreed, especially as you are looking for RHD. Make sure any restored van really has been restored not just bodged up. ;)
