Hi Guys/Gals,

I have a set of Weber Twin 40 IDF Carbs for sale, these where bought from Heritage Parts Centre in March 2024 at a cost of £1,230, I then paid RRS Rolling Road in Stourbridge to set them up/fit to my 1971 VW T2 with a 1776cc engine that cost me another £600, and I also added bigger 40mm Velocity stacks £55, So the full kit fitted cost me £1,885. These where on my van for 300miles so are pretty much brand new and the condition reflects this, reason for sale Im now going Subaru conversion on my van and selling everything from the air-cooled engine to fund this.

This is supplied as a kit with 356 aluminium manifolds, air filter hardware, cross bar linkage, 40mm Velocity stacks, I believe its made by CB Performance as a kit and sold through Heritage Parts.
Everything about this kit can be found here https://www.heritagepartscentre.com/uk/ac1296409-weber-twin-40-idf-carburettor-kit-twin-port.html

Id prefer collection on this item, and come and view/check over the product before you buy as I'm pretty new to the forum and haven't got many posts, plus its a lot of money to trust someone online with only a handful of posts and joined last month, So rather meet face to face, come see my van/family and you know what your buying.

Hi Mate, It was on the van when I bought it, pretty sure ive seen it for sale on Heritage or Just Kampers, It has holes in it so you can attach pipes/etc with a cable tie, only downside is its not the strongest so you pull it to hard and it can break as its seems like its made out of like a chip board materiel.

The engine bay roof board shape differs in earlies and lates. This used to be a hens teeth item for earlies, I got mine from Rackhams in Ipswich about 5 years ago, not sure what situation is now but it’s possible that other parts suppliers now stock it. The new board is much stronger than the original fibreboard material. I’ve cable tied a JK 3m fire extinguisher loop to it no problem

Rare? Oh nice, mine has the original stuff. I’ll take better care of it as it is brittle as hell.
